Ridgefield is one of only 36 public school
systems throughout New York, New Jersey and Connecticut that are members
of the Tri-State Consortium, which includes the highest performing school
systems in the three states. The average student-teacher classroom ratio Grades
2-12 are about 25 to 1 making an academically friendly class size, and has
facilitated positive scholastic results: Of the 331 graduating seniors at
Ridgefield High School last June, 94% have gone on to colleges, universities
and trade schools. Ridgefield students also received top results on Advanced
Placement exams

the finest in the state of Connecticut. "Our standard is excellence for
children in partnership with parents and community" - Ridgefield Public
Schools.
The Ridgefield public school system is
administered by a nine-member town Board of Education, elected by local
residents and educational organizations.
Within the community, there are six elementary
schools, two middle schools and a senior high school.

remained almost static, the scores of Ridgefield students have continued to
rise. Currently, 98% of our high school graduates go on to higher
education.
Ridgefield students receive a high degree of
individual attention both on and off the campus. Through a variety of special
programs, students can focus on the basics while developing their individual
talents for the future.
As an active community, Ridgefield also supports
its many school teams and organizations. Ridgefield High School supports 50
teams that compete throughout Fairfield County.
